Job Summary Job Summary General Description of Position Goals Prepares and provides food items and meals for general consumption by students and school personnel and maintaining sanitary conditions of the facility/ This position assists the manager in the daily set-up/close down of the kitchen and staff training. 1. Plans and prepares food items (i.e., preps, bakes, cooks, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring delivery to school sites and consumption by students and staff. 2. Serves food during meal period. This may include the use of mobile food and beverage carts, both indoors and outdoors. 3. Estimate food preparation amounts for the purpose of meeting projected meal requirements and minimizing waste. 4. Inspects one or more items of food and/or supplies for the purpose of verifying quantity and specifications of orders. 5. Prepares documentation for the purpose of providing written support and/or conveying information. 6. Performs functions as required of another position within area of responsibility for the purpose of providing overall coverage of food service operation. 7. Implements and follows the California Retail Food Code (CalCode) and a HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) food safety program. 8. May use District vehicle for the purpose of food delivery. 9. Participates in Assistant Manager Team meetings and training. 10. Assists other staff for the purpose of providing support and back-up for their work assignments. 11. Coordinate and implement safety and sanitation of food service facility for the purpose of maintaining a clean and safe environment to ensure the health of students and staff. 12. Assist with stocking food items and supplies. 13. Performs other related duties as assigned.Education:
High School diplomaExperience:
Two years of experience in food preparation, serving, and basic kitchen activities.Licenses:
