We are looking for someone who is ready to take on a leadership role in a fast-paced restaurant environment and help us continue to grow our business. The ideal candidate is a strong leader who can hold a team accountable, provide excellent customer service, solve problems, and take initiative without always being asked. This is a hands-on management position . Our Assistant Manager is expected to lead by example and be willing to work alongside the team in both the Front of House and Back of House. What You'll Be Responsible For Restaurant Operations Assist the General Manager with the daily operation of the restaurant. Help ensure the restaurant is properly staffed and operating efficiently. Maintain high standards for food quality, cleanliness, customer service, and food safety. Monitor inventory, product levels, and restaurant supplies. Assist with ordering and receiving products as needed. Ensure company policies, procedures, and operational standards are followed. Help identify operational issues and find practical solutions. Team Leadership Lead, coach, and motivate employees throughout each shift. Hold team members accountable for performance, attendance, productivity, cleanliness, and customer service. Assist with training and developing new employees. Help create a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment. Communicate effectively with the General Manager and Shift Leads regarding employee performance and operational concerns. Lead by example and maintain a strong sense of urgency during busy periods. Customer Service Provide exceptional customer service and ensure guests have a positive experience. Handle customer concerns and complaints professionally. De-escalate difficult or irate customer situations. Make sound decisions to resolve customer issues while following company policies. Help build strong relationships with our guests and local community. Marketing & Business Development A major part of this position will be helping grow our sales and strengthen our presence within the local community.

The Assistant Manager will:

Identify local businesses, offices, schools, organizations, and community groups that could become potential customers or catering partners. Build and maintain professional relationships with local businesses. Promote Teriyaki Madness catering, group orders, fundraisers, and other business opportunities. Conduct local outreach to businesses and organizations. Help create opportunities for catering and recurring business orders. Distribute marketing materials and promotional information to local businesses. Help coordinate community partnerships and promotional opportunities. Identify opportunities to increase traffic and sales during slower periods. Track and communicate successful marketing efforts and potential leads to the General Manager. Represent Teriyaki Madness professionally when interacting with businesses and community organizations. We are looking for someone who understands that marketing isn't just about handing out flyers—it's about building relationships that turn into repeat customers and increased sales. Willing to work hands-on alongside the team. Available to work a flexible restaurant schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed.
