At Boba Fiend Tea House in Yorba Linda, we take craft beverages and snacks seriously. As we upgrade our store operations, introduce modern bar machinery, and expand our menu, we are looking for an experienced, driven Assistant Store Manager who truly knows the boba market, loves innovating new drinks, and takes pride in running an efficient, spotless, and high-performing shop. If you have hands-on experience at top Taiwanese boba brands and want a clear path to running your own store within 12 months, this is the role for you.

What You'll Do:

1. Drink R D & Trend Innovation Bring creative energy to design, test, and launch innovative seasonal beverages (milk teas, specialty fruit teas, layered smoothies, and craft toppings). Leverage your knowledge of current industry trends and flavor profiles inspired by leading Taiwanese tea brands. Standardize recipe builds, cup-marking standards, and quality-control checkpoints so every drink tastes identical across all shifts. 2. Bar Operations, Process Improvement & Machinery Implement and refine bar workflows to cut ticket times during peak rush hours. Train staff on using, cleaning, and calibrating commercial equipment (automatic cup sealers, fructose dispensers, commercial blenders, and hot water systems). Perform basic routine maintenance and minor mechanical troubleshooting on shop equipment to keep the bar running smoothly. 3. Team Leadership & Labor Scheduling Lead by example on the floor—supporting baristas during rush periods while upholding customer service standards. Manage shift schedules, enforce punctual clock-in/out times, and optimize floor labor based on daily volume. Foster a positive, accountable team culture through hands-on coaching and constructive feedback. 4. Inventory Control & Cleanliness Standards Oversee ingredient inventory, tracking pars for syrups, teas, boba, and packaging to minimize stockouts and waste. Enforce rigorous sanitation standards, ensuring opening, closing, and deep-clean checklists (prep stations, refrigeration, ice bins, sink lines) meet local health codes.

Who You Are:

Boba Expert:

3+ years of hands-on experience in high-volume boba or specialty beverage shops. Prior experience at major Taiwanese/Asian tea brands is strongly preferred.

Leadership Experience:

At least 1 year as a Shift Lead, Bar Supervisor, or Assistant Manager in food & beverage/retail.

Process-Driven:

Excited to test new tools, optimize drink prep stations, and implement clean operational systems.

Mechanically Capable:

Comfortable learning the setup, breakdown, cleaning, and troubleshooting of beverage prep machinery.

Reliable Communicator:

Strong time-management skills, proactive problem-solving, and a team-first attitude.

Schedule & Availability:
