Job Summary:
We're seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant General Manager to lead our operations with a focus on delivering high-energy, productive shifts. You'll be the driving force behind our team, ensuring exceptional service in our bustling restaurant and event space while boosting sales of our signature moonshine, whiskey, and retail merchandise. Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily bar operations, including opening/closing procedures, staff scheduling, and shift management to maximize efficiency and productivity. Lead, train, and motivate bar staff to provide top-tier service, including expert cocktail preparation, spirit tastings, and personalized recommendations. Manage inventory for beverages, spirits, and retail items (e.g., branded merchandise, bottled moonshine, and whiskey), ensuring optimal stock levels and minimizing waste. Drive revenue through creative promotions, upselling techniques, and merchandising strategies to highlight our handcrafted products. Collaborate with restaurant and event teams to coordinate seamless service during peak hours, private events, weddings, and live music nights. Ensure compliance with all alcohol service laws, health/safety regulations, and company policies. Handle guest interactions, resolve complaints promptly, and foster a welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat visits. Monitor bar performance metrics, such as sales targets and labor costs, and implement improvements as needed. Assist in menu development, incorporating our distillery's unique spirits into innovative drinks and pairings.
Qualifications:
3+ years of Restaurant management experience in a high-volume restaurant, distillery, or event venue. Deep knowledge of spirits, particularly whiskey and moonshine, with bartending skills and the ability to conduct tastings. Proven leadership abilities, with experience training teams and optimizing shift productivity. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced setting. Familiarity with POS systems, inventory management software, and sales reporting. TIPS or equivalent alcohol service certification required; Colorado liquor license knowledge a plus. Availability for flexible scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Passion for hospitality, craft beverages, and creating engaging guest experiences. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
