Best Western Plus Loveland Inn - Loveland, CO Best Western Plus Loveland Inn is seeking an experienced, energetic, and hands-on General Manager to lead the daily operations of our full-service hotel. The ideal candidate is a strong hospitality leader with proven experience managing hotel operations, improving guest satisfaction, controlling costs, developing employees, and maximizing revenue. This position requires an individual who is highly organized, service-focused, and comfortable taking ownership of the property's overall performance. Position Summary The General Manager is responsible for the financial, operational, and service performance of the hotel. This includes leading all departments, maintaining brand and property standards, managing budgets and forecasts, supporting sales efforts, and creating a positive environment for guests and employees. Key Responsibilities Oversee all hotel departments, including Front Desk, Housekeeping, Maintenance, Food and Beverage, Security, Reservations, and Guest Services Lead, train, coach, and develop department managers and hotel employees Maintain high standards of guest service, cleanliness, safety, and property condition Monitor guest feedback and take corrective action when necessary Prepare and review budgets, forecasts, payroll, occupancy, revenue, and operating reports Control labor and operating costs while maintaining service quality Develop strategies to maximize occupancy, average daily rate, and overall hotel revenue Participate in sales efforts, corporate account management, and new client acquisition Conduct regular inspections and unannounced audits of guest rooms and operating areas Ensure compliance with hotel policies, brand standards, and all local, state, and federal regulations Oversee preventive maintenance, repairs, and general upkeep of the property Maintain effective communication with ownership, corporate staff, employees, guests, vendors, and community partners Promote a professional, positive, and motivating work environment Respond to urgent guest, employee, and property-related situations when necessary Required Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of previous experience as a Hotel General Manager Strong knowledge of all areas of hotel operations Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and revenue management Strong leadership, coaching, and employee development skills Demonstrated success in improving guest satisfaction and financial performance Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational, delegation, and time-management abilities Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Proficiency with Microsoft Office and hotel management systems Knowledge of front-office procedures, housekeeping, maintenance, safety, security, and hotel accounting Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and other hours based on hotel needs Ability to respond to hotel emergencies when required Preferred Qualifications Degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, Business Management, or a related field Full-service hotel management experience Experience with food and beverage operations, group business, corporate accounts, and sales Proven history of meeting or exceeding revenue, guest satisfaction, and employee performance goals What We Are Looking For We are looking for a General Manager who leads by example, supports employees, takes initiative, and maintains high standards throughout the property.
