Full-Time; 35-40 hours/week (35 hours guaranteed)
Schedule:
M-Th 11 AM-7 PM, F 11 AM-3 PM with flexibility earlier or later as needed; occasional evenings/overnights
Compensation:
$38-$42 per hour

Our household currently includes two toddlers, with a newborn on the way, and we're excited to grow as a family in this next chapter. Between work, school, and the demands of everyday life, our home can sometimes feel like a whirlwind, and we're looking for a House Manager who can help bring organization and calm to our environment. We truly value a warm, organized, and nurturing atmosphere where everyone feels cared for and supported. As we navigate this busy season of life, we're seeking someone who can help with the logistics of daily tasks—whether it's managing household chores, laundry, meal planning and prepping, or supporting our children's routines and activities. Your help will allow us to focus on what really matters: spending quality time together as a family. We're looking for a calm presence who can ease the stress of the day-to-day. Who You Are / What We're Looking For We are seeking a nurturing, proactive, and highly organized House Manager who has experience managing a busy household and supporting children. You are someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, always thinking a few steps ahead, and anticipating the needs of the family. You are self-directed, able to take initiative and act without needing constant guidance, and you possess a natural intuition for what needs to be done. Whether it's meal planning and prep, keeping up with laundry, maintaining daily tidiness, or managing school pickups, you know how to stay on top of the details and ensure everything runs smoothly. Your positive and professional attitude is essential to creating a harmonious atmosphere in our home. You approach every task, big or small, with enthusiasm and care. You're someone who enjoys organizing, creating systems that make life easier, and pitching in wherever needed to keep things moving. Flexibility is key in this role, as we need someone who can adapt to changes in schedule, stay late when required, and assist with occasional overnight care when the need arises. Above all, you are someone who fosters a sense of calm and stability in the home, making sure that everything is running efficiently so we can focus on more time together as a family. Key Responsibilities Household Management & Organization Daily resets and prepping home for weekly cleaners Light tidying (dishes, surfaces, vacuum high-traffic areas) Maintain household organization systems Seasonal swaps (clothing, décor, bedding) Prepare and coordinate donation drop-offs Event/holiday/guest prep Unpacking from travel Change batteries, light bulbs, smoke detectors, etc. Meal Planning & Prep Plan and prep healthy breakfasts, dinner, and snacks 5x/week Prep school lunches and snacks (chopping/washing fruits and veggies) Grocery shopping for meal-related items Follow dietary needs/preferences (nut-free, healthy) Kitchen clean-up and maintenance Family Support & Child Assistance Pick-ups/drop-offs as needed Light supervision/back-up childcare Occasional overnight/date night coverage (preplanned) As needed: prep backpacks/clothing/snacks Kid-related errands Inventory & Errands Restock pantry/fridge/household supplies Manage running household supply lists Returns, dry cleaning, gift shopping Mail and package handling Breakdown boxes Laundry & Linen Care Wash, fold, and put away laundry Ironing/steaming and special garment care (workout gear, kids sweaters) Maintain tidy and well stocked laundry areas Deep Cleaning & Special Projects Occasional deep cleans of fridge, oven, baseboards Refresh garage/mudroom/entryway Clean humidifiers/air purifiers Organizational projects (toys, gear) Pet Care Feeding/walking Vet/grooming scheduling and drop-offs Maintain pet supplies Vendor & Property Oversight Seasonal property maintenance as needed Manage outdoor spaces as needed Administrative & Personal Assistant Support Awareness of family calendar (including household travel schedules) Receipt/budget tracking for expenses incurred as house manager Event and appointment coordination How to Apply Please submit the following: A short introductory letter explaining why you are a great fit for this role An updated resume Three professional references with contact information
