As a HU Certified General Manager, you are responsible for overall restaurant performance, team leadership, and delivering excellence in Quality, Service, Cleanliness, and Value ( QSCV ). This position is for a restaurant owned and operated by an independent McDonald's franchisee. As a General Manager, you are accountable for all aspects of restaurant operations, people development, and business results.
Core Responsibilities:
Operations Excellence + Ensure consistent execution of QSCV (Quality, Service, Cleanliness, and Value) standards + Oversee daily operations and long-term business performance + Maintain compliance with all McDonald's standards and procedures People Leadership & Development + Recruit, hire, train, and develop a high-performing team + Coach and develop Crew Trainers, Shift Leaders, and Department Managers + Build a strong leadership bench for future growth + Foster a positive, inclusive, and performance-driven culture Food Safety & Compliance + Ensure strict adherence to food safety standards + Maintain a safe and secure environment for employees and customers + Enforce all health, safety, and security procedures Financial Performance + Manage profit and loss (P&L) responsibilities + Control labor, food costs, and inventory + Drive sales growth and profitability + Analyze performance metrics and implement improvement plans Customer Experience + Lead the team in delivering exceptional customer service + Resolve customer concerns professionally and effectively + Ensure a welcoming and guest-focused environment Administrative & Operational Oversight + Oversee scheduling, staffing, and labor deployment + Ensure completion of all reporting and documentation + Maintain restaurant facilities, equipment, and cleanliness
Required Qualifications & Certifications:
To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements: + Hamburger University (HU) Certified General Manager + Valid ServSafe Certification + Open Availability (including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays) Additional preferred qualifications: + Proven experience as a General Manager or senior restaurant leader + Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills + Ability to manage a high-volume, fast-paced environment + Strong business decision-making abilities + Bilingual abilities are a plus (Excellent verbal and written communication skills required in English & Spanish)
