Assistant General Manager Del Pez Mexican Gastropub / Santa Fe Mexican Grill Hakuna Hospitality Group Leadership-Focused Hospitality Opportunity This is not a passive management position. Hakuna Hospitality Group is seeking a highly professional, emotionally intelligent, and operationally strong Assistant General Manager to join our leadership team. We are looking for an ambitious hospitality leader who thrives in high-volume environments, leads from the floor, develops people intentionally, and is motivated to grow into a General Manager role. The Assistant General Manager serves as the right hand to the General Manager and plays a critical role in the daily execution of the restaurant, with primary leadership responsibility over front-of-house operations, service standards, bar execution, guest experience, and team accountability. - Lead front-of-house operations during all service periods
- Maintain strong floor presence and service execution
- Oversee service flow, reservations, waitlists, and seating strategy
- Ensure consistency in hospitality standards and guest experience
- Support operational execution during high-volume business periods Team Development & Accountability
- Coach and develop bartenders, servers, hosts, and support staff
- Hold team members accountable to standards and professionalism
- Support onboarding, training, and performance development
- Help identify and develop future leaders within the organization Bar & Beverage Oversight
- Ensure strict recipe adherence and beverage consistency
- Maintain quality and presentation standards
- Enforce proper bar systems and procedures
- Support inventory and cost-control initiatives Financial & Operational Performance
- Support labor management and scheduling execution
- Assist in controlling operational costs
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and guest experience
- Support overall restaurant performance goals Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of management experience in an upscale casual, full-service restaurant environment
- Strong leadership presence and communication skills
- Ability to lead calmly and effectively under pressure
- High standards for professionalism and execution
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Desire to build a long-term career in hospitality leadership Compensation & Benefits
- $65,000-$75,000 annual salary
