Hakuna Hospitality Group is seeking a highly professional, emotionally intelligent, and operationally strong Assistant General Manager to join our leadership team. We are looking for an ambitious hospitality leader who thrives in high-volume environments, leads from the floor, develops people intentionally, and is motivated to grow into a General Manager role. The Assistant General Manager serves as the right hand to the General Manager and plays a critical role in the daily execution of the restaurant, with primary leadership responsibility over front-of-house operations, service standards, bar execution, guest experience, and team accountability. • Lead front-of-house operations during all service periods
• Maintain strong floor presence and service execution
• Oversee service flow, reservations, waitlists, and seating strategy
• Ensure consistency in hospitality standards and guest experience
• Support operational execution during high-volume business periods Team Development & Accountability
• Coach and develop bartenders, servers, hosts, and support staff
• Hold team members accountable to standards and professionalism
• Support onboarding, training, and performance development
• Help identify and develop future leaders within the organization Bar & Beverage Oversight
• Ensure strict recipe adherence and beverage consistency
• Maintain quality and presentation standards
• Enforce proper bar systems and procedures
• Support inventory and cost-control initiatives Financial & Operational Performance
• Support labor management and scheduling execution
• Assist in controlling operational costs
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and guest experience
• Support overall restaurant performance goals Qualifications
• Minimum 2 years of management experience in an upscale casual, full-service restaurant environment
• Strong leadership presence and communication skills
• Ability to lead calmly and effectively under pressure
• High standards for professionalism and execution
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays
