Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant Manager to oversee daily operations in an upscale food service environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of food industry standards, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves managing staff, ensuring food safety, controlling inventory, and maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency across fine dining settings. The Restaurant Manager will play a key role in fostering a positive team environment while upholding the restaurant's reputation for excellence. Responsibilities Oversee daily restaurant operations, including food preparation, service flow, and customer experience Manage staff scheduling, training, and development to ensure optimal team performance Supervise kitchen and front-of-house teams, ensuring adherence to food safety and sanitation standards Handle cash management, POS transactions (Toast), and financial reporting Control inventory levels, order supplies, and manage food and beverage costs effectively Ensure compliance with health regulations and safety protocols across all departments Lead staff recruitment efforts including interviewing and onboarding new team members Maintain high standards of customer service by addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally Coordinate with culinary staff on food production, menu implementation, and special event catering (banquets, parties) Manage shift operations to maximize efficiency while maintaining quality standards Support marketing initiatives and promote a positive dining experience to increase repeat business Qualifications Proven management experience in the food industry, including supervision of restaurant or hospitality teams Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation practices Experience with POS systems such as Toast POS is preferred Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff Background in food preparation, wine knowledge, or culinary arts is highly desirable Demonstrated ability in inventory control, budgeting, and cost management Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on hospitality excellence Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently Previous experience in fine dining is advantageous Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings and weekends as needed This position offers an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to lead a vibrant restaurant team while delivering outstanding dining experiences.
