Job Description
Position Summary The Banquet Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of banquet operations, ensuring events are executed seamlessly and to the highest standards. This role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, member-focused environment. A key component of this position is maintaining a strong floor presence during events, ensuring service excellence, addressing guest needs, and supporting the banquet team in real time. All team members will be expected to act in accordance with our values of hospitality, excellence, teamwork, and pride. Key Responsibilities Lead, train, and supervise banquet staff, including setup teams, servers, and bartenders. Maintain visible floor presence during all events to ensure smooth operations, member satisfaction, and immediate response to issues. Collaborate with the Events and Culinary teams to ensure event specifications are met. Oversee event setup, execution, and breakdown with precision and efficiency. Maintain a high level of service and hospitality that reflects the standards of a luxury country club. Manage scheduling, labor costs, and inventory for banquet operations. Attend all BEO meetings and other meetings as needed. Ensure all items that are needed for events, i.e. linens, specialty drinks & food are ordered in time for all events. Maintain uniform standards, ordering and cleaning. Conduct pre-event briefings with staff to review timelines, responsibilities, and service expectations. Address and resolve guest concerns in a professional and timely manner. Conduct quarterly inventories of all smallware's and flatware's. Ensure all banquet areas, equipment, and supplies are maintained and in excellent condition. Uphold compliance with health, safety, and club policies. Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance service and operations.
