- Part-time, Full-time Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Manager to oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring exceptional customer service and efficient management of staff and resources.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid background in food service management, and a passion for delivering memorable dining experiences. This role involves supervising staff, managing inventory, maintaining food safety standards, and supporting the overall success of the restaurant in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Assist in managing daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures Supervise and train staff on food preparation, customer service, POS systems (Aloha POS, Micros POS), and food handling protocols Oversee food production, kitchen management, and ensure adherence to food safety standards Manage inventory control, ordering supplies, and controlling food costs Handle cash transactions accurately and oversee cash handling procedures Ensure compliance with health regulations and safety standards Support shift management by coordinating team schedules and ensuring smooth service flow Assist in hiring, interviewing, onboarding, and developing staff members Monitor customer satisfaction levels and address any issues promptly Collaborate with management on budgeting, food industry best practices, and operational improvements Lead by example to foster a positive team environment focused on hospitality excellence Experience Proven experience in restaurant management or assistant manager roles within quick service & fast food restaurants or fine dining establishments Strong background in food preparation, culinary operations, and kitchen management Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is preferred Demonstrated supervisory experience with team management, training & development, and staff scheduling Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling and production Background in hospitality management or hotel experience is advantageous Prior experience with catering, banquet services, or bar operations is a plus Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle challenging situations professionally Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate teams and manage multiple priorities effectively
