In this pivotal role, you will oversee all aspects of restaurant management, ensuring exceptional customer service, operational excellence, and team leadership. Your enthusiasm for food, hospitality, and team development will drive the success of our establishment. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with extensive experience in food service management, a strong understanding of Jewish Deli/bagel restaurants, operational systems, inventory control, and staff training. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape a vibrant dining environment while fostering a positive and productive workplace culture. Duties Lead daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service flow and adherence to quality standards in food preparation, cooking, and presentation Manage staff scheduling, training, and development to cultivate a motivated and skilled team Oversee inventory control processes, including ordering, stock rotation, and food safety compliance Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for accurate cash handling, sales tracking, and reporting Maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation in accordance with health regulations Monitor financial performance through profit and loss analysis; develop strategies to maximize profitability Supervise kitchen management, ensuring efficient food production and catering services when applicable Conduct interviews and participate in hiring decisions to build a strong hospitality team Implement training programs focused on customer service excellence, food handling, and managerial communication Oversee shift management to ensure timely service delivery and customer satisfaction in casual dining or quick-service environments Manage restaurant budgets, control costs, and optimize resource allocation for sustainable growth Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement Experience Jewish Deli and Bagel restaurant experience required Proven management experience in the food industry with a focus on restaurant operations or hospitality management Extensive background in quick service & fast food restaurant experience or casual dining environments Demonstrated expertise in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management Hands-on experience with Toast POS system; cash handling proficiency required Strong supervisory skills with prior team leadership or staff training roles Knowledge of food safety standards and food handling procedures across various dining formats including fine dining or banquet settings Experience managing inventory control, budgeting, and profit & loss analysis within a restaurant context Excellent communication skills for managerial tasks such as interviewing, staff development, and customer service oversight Ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently while maintaining high standards of hospitality excellence Familiarity with catering or bar operations is advantageous; coffee or serving experience adds value to your skill set Join us as a General Manager to lead an energetic team dedicated to delivering memorable dining experiences.
