Sarasota, Bradenton, North Fort Myers & Parrish, FL Support. Lead. Grow with Rogers Market. Rogers Market is a fast-growing chain of convenience stores and fuel centers known for fresh, high-quality food, friendly service, and an inviting atmosphere. Built on strong family values, we take pride in creating a welcoming environment for our guests and a supportive, team-driven workplace for our employees. We're looking for hands-on Assistant General Managers to partner with our General Managers and keep the store running at its best. You'll often work opposite shifts from the GM to extend management coverage across the store's operating hours — which means you'll own the building, the team, and the guest experience while you're on. If you've worked in a c-store, fuel station, or high-volume retail or food environment and you're ready to step further into leadership, we want to hear from you. What You'll Do As Assistant General Manager, you support the General Manager in running the store shift to shift — and you step into any role in the building when the team needs you. Store Operations Assist the General Manager with store and forecourt operations on your shift, including staffing, scheduling, inventory, food service, and fuel. Oversee inventory management — ordering, receiving, and stocking products. Conduct regular inspections to keep equipment, facilities, and the lot clean, organized, safe, and fully functional. Maintain compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health regulations. Step into any team member's role when needed to cover absences, staffing gaps, or high guest volume. Business Performance Monitor and analyze sales and financial performance to help hit store targets and maximize profitability. Support cost control, cash handling, and loss-prevention efforts. Help identify opportunities to grow inside sales and food service. Leadership & Team Development Supervise and train staff to maintain excellent guest service standards. Assist with hiring, training, and coaching team members as directed by the General Manager. Provide leadership and support that builds a positive, productive work environment. Help develop and implement policies and procedures that improve how the store runs. Guest Experience Resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally. Build lasting relationships with returning guests and the surrounding community. Work with the marketing team to execute promotions and drive guest engagement. What We're Looking For Management experience. Previous experience in a management role, preferably in retail, food service, or hospitality. People leadership. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and coach a team. Operations know-how. Working knowledge of inventory management and basic financial analysis. Compliance awareness. Understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations. Guest service track record. A proven history of delivering exceptional customer service. Organized and self-directed. Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to work with little to no supervision. Composure. Able to stay calm in challenging situations and lead with emotional intelligence. Open availability. This role requires open availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require. Shift flexibility. Shift assignment varies by store and may be mid, evening, or overnight. Some of our locations operate 24 hours a day, so overnight coverage may be part of the schedule. Reliable transportation. Able to get to your store dependably and support it during busy or short-staffed periods. Education. High school diploma or equivalent required. A college degree in Business Administration or a related field is a plus. Bilingual a plus. Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
