A day in the life. This is a hands-on position where you are actively working side by side with your team on the floor, constantly engaged in high-end service training and improving the fine details. Equally, you are a mentor and coach to your team. You are well informed on wines, partner with the Culinary team on daily specials and let your creative juices flow with wine-pairings, specialty cocktails and exclusive buy-outs. You assist with administrative tasks (ordering, cost controls, payroll etc.) and leadership functions (training, coaching and counseling). To be successful in the Food & Beverage Manager position, you: Floor presence throughout all outlets including banquets, pool and beach. Assist in monitoring and developing team member performance Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards Assist in initiating and implementing marketing and up-selling techniques to promote restaurant food and beverage services and to maximize overall revenue Assist in recruiting, interviewing and training team member Assist with the organization and administrative functions in all areas of the F&B Division. Closely monitors on a daily, weekly and monthly basis the financial performance of all outlets providing solutions to improve problem areas and assisting in implementing corrective measures. Requirements:
3-5 years' experience in a similar leadership position in Food & Beverage in a hotel operation. Excellent communication skills in all aspects: verbal, written and non-verbal with fluency in English. Professional and appropriate business appearance and presentation. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in hospitality management or related field. Excellent knowledge of all aspects of F&B Operations including: Restaurant and Bar management, Pool & Beach, Banqueting, In Room Dining, Culinary and Stewarding. Possess excellent organizational and administrative skills. Quality driven with a passion for excellence in guest service and satisfaction. Approachable, open minded and fair; must possess the ability to communicate effectively within various levels of colleague and managers throughout the hotel. Ability to lift up to 20lbs. Ability to walk/stand for extended periods of time while on shift.
