Duties Assist the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations, including staff scheduling, shift management, and ensuring service standards are met. Supervise and motivate team members to deliver outstanding customer service and uphold food safety standards. Manage food preparation processes, ensuring quality control and adherence to recipes and presentation guidelines. Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and transaction accuracy. Monitor inventory levels, control food costs, and coordinate with suppliers for timely stock replenishment. Train new staff members on food handling, safety procedures, customer service protocols, and POS usage. Conduct staff performance evaluations, assist with interviewing candidates, and support staff development initiatives. Ensure compliance with health regulations, food safety standards, and sanitation practices across all restaurant areas. Analyze profit and loss reports to identify opportunities for increased efficiency and profitability. Requirements Proven experience in quick service or fast food restaurant environments with a strong background in food preparation and kitchen management. Previous assistant manager or supervisory experience within the food industry is essential. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; cash handling experience is required. Knowledge of inventory control, food safety management, and food production processes. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively and foster a positive work environment. Strong communication skills suitable for managerial roles including training staff and managing customer interactions. Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for cash handling and inventory management. Experience in casual dining or fine dining settings is preferred; banquet or catering experience is a plus. Demonstrated ability to analyze financial data related to profit margins and budgeting efforts.
