Bar Manager

Job Summary:

Bar Manager (with Bartending Duties) 1. Position Overview Brief summary of the dual role: managing bar operations and working as an active bartender. Emphasize leadership, team coordination, and customer service. 2. Key ResponsibilitiesManagement Duties Oversee daily bar operations, staffing, and inventory management. Hire, train, and supervise bartenders and barbacks. Monitor financial performance, including sales and cost control. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and alcohol regulations. Plan and execute promotions, events, and seasonal menus. Coordinate with vendors and place supply orders. Bartending Shifts Mix and serve drinks according to recipes and customer preferences. Maintain cleanliness and organization behind the bar. Provide excellent customer service and build rapport with guests. Handle cash and operate POS systems accurately. 3. Required Skills and Qualifications Proven bartending and bar management experience. Strong leadership and communication skills. Knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wines, and beers. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. POS and inventory software proficiency. 4. Schedule & Flexibility Full-time management schedule with 1-2 bartending shifts per week (as needed or scheduled). Must be available for nights, weekends, and holidays. 5. Work Environment Fast-paced, customer-facing role with a focus on quality, efficiency, and team collaboration. May include standing for long periods, lifting, and occasional late-night hours. 6. Performance Metrics Bar profitability and cost control. Staff retention and morale. Customer satisfaction and repeat business. Smooth, efficient bar operations.
