ASAP About the Role Gill Grilling serves fraternities and sororities with chef-led, from-scratch cuisine. At UGA, we're hiring a Chef/Kitchen Manager to run a chapter-house kitchen with a 5-star mindset —food that tastes incredible, looks beautiful, and is consistently on time. What "5-Star" Means Here From-scratch, chef-driven menus with balanced flavor, proper seasoning, and polished plating.
Restaurant-quality execution at scale:
accurate portions, hot food hot/cold food cold, and reliable timing.
Guest experience focus:
proactive feedback loops with students/house leadership; quick fixes when something isn't perfect.
Kitchen excellence:
spotless stations, label/date, FIFO, and disciplined closing—every shift. Key Responsibilities Plan and cook fresh, high-quality meals for chapter members (inclusive options for dietary needs). Build rotating menus, run tastings, and adjust based on feedback and headcount. Order, receive, and manage inventory to avoid stock-outs while hitting quality targets. Lead and train staff (when applicable) to uphold 5-star standards of taste, presentation, and sanitation. Maintain consistent communication with Gill Grilling and chapter leadership; handle light admin for scheduling/ordering.
