Competitive salary based on experience About the Role Our restaurants at SBMH are seeking an experienced, hands-on Assistant General Manager to join our leadership team. This position combines operational leadership with administrative responsibilities and plays a key role in supporting the General Manager, ownership, and management team in the daily success of the restaurant. The ideal candidate is a motivated leader who enjoys developing people, improving operations, and creating an outstanding guest experience while working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Key Responsibilities Conduct performance evaluations while coaching, developing, and holding employees accountable. Maintain training programs and support trainer oversight, testing, and employee development. Support recruiting, applicant screening, interviewing, and onboarding. Conduct time clock and schedule reviews while supporting payroll and labor management. Maintain operational documents, checklists, pre-shift materials, and shared resources. Assist with labor and sales reporting, administrative projects, and operational planning. Support daily operations through shift leadership, event preparation, and follow-through. Oversee BOH readiness while supporting organization, inventory, ordering, quality, and sanitation. Manage Toast POS, Prep Wizard, KDS, menus, and other operational systems. Partner with the Kitchen Manager to improve BOH workflow and FOH/BOH coordination. Support guest experience and resolve guest or operational concerns. Lead through professionalism, urgency, accountability, teamwork, and communication. Schedule Expectations This position includes a combination of management floor shifts and administrative responsibilities. 45-55 hours per week 20-30 hours of operational floor leadership 20-25 hours of administrative responsibilities Qualifications Previous restaurant management experience required (Assistant General Manager, FOH Manager, Kitchen Manager, or similar leadership role preferred) Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Experience with restaurant POS and scheduling systems preferred Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidaysPay:
