Competitive pay based on experience About the Position We are looking for an experienced and dependable Bar Manager to lead our bar operations and help create an exceptional guest experience. The Bar Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily bar operations, maintaining beverage quality and inventory, supporting the bartending team, and ensuring the bar operates efficiently, safely, and profitably. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can work alongside the team while maintaining high standards for service, cleanliness, organization, and hospitality. Responsibilities Oversee the daily operation of the bar and ensure smooth service. Lead, train, coach, and support bartenders and bar support staff. Create a welcoming and professional environment for guests and employees. Ensure bartenders follow company service standards, recipes, and procedures. Monitor beverage quality, portion control, presentation, and consistency. Manage beer, liquor, wine, mixers, garnishes, and other beverage inventory. Complete regular inventory counts and communicate ordering needs to management. Help control beverage costs, waste, comps, spills, and product loss. Maintain proper organization and cleanliness of the bar, coolers, storage areas, and equipment. Ensure all bartenders follow applicable alcohol-service laws and company policies. Monitor responsible alcohol service and assist with handling difficult guest situations. Assist with scheduling and staffing needs as directed by management. Monitor employee performance and address issues appropriately. Assist with opening and closing procedures. Ensure cash-handling and POS procedures are followed correctly. Work with management to improve bar sales, service, and overall guest satisfaction. Assist with developing and maintaining cocktail and beverage menus. Maintain appropriate stock levels during service and communicate shortages promptly. Ensure health, safety, sanitation, and workplace standards are consistently followed. Perform other duties as assigned by General Management. Qualifications Previous bartending experience required. Previous bar management or supervisory experience preferred. Strong knowledge of cocktails, beer, wine, and spirits. Strong understanding of responsible alcohol service. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Ability to train and hold employees accountable to company standards. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Ability to remain professional and composed during busy or stressful shifts. Must be dependable and able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Must meet all applicable age and legal requirements for alcohol service. What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who leads by example . The Bar Manager should be comfortable working behind the bar when needed, jumping in during busy services, helping the team solve problems, and maintaining high standards even during peak hours. The right person will take ownership of the bar, care about the guest experience, and understand that successful bar management requires balancing hospitality, team leadership, inventory control, cost management, and accountability. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry cases of beer, liquor, and other supplies. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as pouring, mixing, stocking, cleaning, and reaching. Ability to safely operate standard bar and restaurant equipment.
