We are passionate about delivering great-tasting, high‑quality products and creating an energetic, guest-focused experience. We are currently looking to add strong leaders to our growing Jamba Juice team. Position Summary The General Manager is responsible for the overall success and profitability of a Jamba Juice store. This role achieves sales, labor, and food cost targets while ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction, product quality, and safety. The General Manager exercises discretion and independent judgment in managing daily operations, supervising and directing staff, and making staffing-related decisions in partnership with the District Manager, HR, and senior leadership. The majority of this role is spent leading the team on the floor, coaching performance, making staffing decisions, and ensuring the store consistently delivers an outstanding Jamba Juice guest experience. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The General Manager's responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Financial & Operational Performance Responsible for meeting all financial targets established by Fresh Dining Concepts, including sales goals, labor costs, and food costs. Monitor, control, and reduce variable operating expenses where possible without compromising quality or guest experience. Monitor inventory levels, production, waste, and unauthorized giveaways to control cost of goods. Provide accurate and timely monthly physical inventory counts. Review and authorize vendor invoices as needed and transmit for payment per company guidelines. Asset Protection & Safety Manage and protect store assets, ensuring safety and security at all times. Oversee proper cash handling procedures, including daily bank deposits and securing the top safe without compromising security. Ensure compliance with all Fresh Dining Concepts and Jamba Juice safety, food quality, and sanitation standards. Team Leadership & Staffing Recruit, interview, hire, and onboard team members for the store. Direct and coordinate the activities of all store employees. Provide ongoing training, coaching, and development for both new and existing staff. Set clear expectations and hold the team accountable for performance and results. Perform all supervisory responsibilities, including hiring, training, evaluating, coaching, disciplining, and terminating employees. Recommend promotions and wage increases as appropriate. Scheduling & Timekeeping Determine staffing needs and prepare bi-weekly schedules (including personal schedule) for submission to the District Manager. Ensure accurate timekeeping for all employees. Store Standards & Maintenance Ensure uniform, dress code, and personal appearance standards are consistently followed. Direct operations to maintain all equipment and physical facilities in excellent working condition. Oversee daily, ongoing, and periodic cleaning and maintenance of the store. Coordinate approved service and repair work in partnership with the District Manager. Reporting & Compliance Ensure timely completion and submission of all required paperwork, reports, and documentation. Maintain operational and personnel files according to company and corporate guidelines. Comply with all Jamba Juice and Fresh Dining Concepts policies and procedures, including applicable federal and state regulations (OSHA, EPA, EEO, ADA, Right to Know, and food safety standards). Marketing & Community Relations Execute all promotional, marketing, advertising, and public relations initiatives as directed by the District Manager. Recommend and help execute approved local marketing and promotional activities. Maintain positive working relationships with mall management, property managers, and neighboring businesses as applicable. Leadership by Example Serve as a working manager , actively supporting the team on the front line alongside shift leaders and assistant managers. Perform all essential job functions safely and effectively according to Jamba Juice operating standards. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required; BA/BS degree preferred or equivalent leadership experience. Proven experience coaching, developing, and leading teams in a retail or foodservice environment. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a strong guest focus. Availability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Job Requirements / Physical Demands Must be at least 18 years of age. Ability to perform essential job functions, including prolonged standing, walking, squatting, bending, and repetitive hand and arm motions. Ability to lift and carry up to 50+ pounds. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume, and occasionally high-stress environment while interacting with guests and team members. Demonstrated agility and stamina to meet the physical demands of store operations. Actively assist in training and developing new hires. Willingness to work occasional extended hours, in compliance with state and federal labor laws. Ability to write simple correspondence in English and effectively communicate in one-on-one and small group settings with guests and employees, for operational clarity and safety purposes. Ability to accurately evaluate products by taste, color, and smell to ensure Jamba Juice quality standards are met.
Licenses / Certifications
Reliable transportation required. Current ServSafe certification required; if not current, certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment. Food Handler Permit as required by local or state regulations. Full compliance with all local Health Department requirements.
