The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for food service, and the ability to manage a team effectively. This role requires expertise in food preparation, inventory control, and staff training to ensure that our kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently while maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. Responsibilities Manage daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency and adherence to food safety standards. Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain quality and consistency. Control inventory levels, placing orders for supplies as needed while minimizing waste. Train, supervise, and develop kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment. Implement and maintain standard operating procedures for food handling and safety. Utilize POS systems (Aloha POS, Micros POS) for cash handling and order management. Collaborate with management on budgeting and financial planning for the kitchen. Ensure compliance with health regulations and company policies regarding food service. Assist in menu planning, including catering options for special events or banquets. Provide exceptional customer service by ensuring timely meal delivery and addressing any guest concerns. Requirements Proven experience in kitchen management or a similar role within the food industry. Strong culinary skills with experience in fine dining, casual dining, or quick service restaurants. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling. Excellent leadership abilities with experience in team management and staff training & development. Familiarity with inventory control processes and budgeting practices. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with staff and customers alike. Previous experience with cash handling and POS systems is preferred. A background in hospitality management or culinary arts is advantageous.
