Position Summary We are seeking a dependable, organized, and hands-on Kitchen Manager to lead day-to-day kitchen operations at a fraternity or sorority house on the University of Idaho campus. This role is responsible for managing food service execution, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety, coordinating deliveries and inventory, and supporting a smooth, professional kitchen environment. Reports To Regional/Operations Manager (Gill Grilling Company) Key Responsibilities Lead daily kitchen operations to ensure timely, high-quality meal service. Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized kitchen at all times. Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and company procedures. Coordinate and receive food deliveries; organize storage and rotate inventory (FIFO). Track inventory and communicate supply needs to ensure the kitchen is properly stocked. Supervise and direct kitchen staff (e.g., kitchen assistant/dishwasher) and assign daily tasks. Support basic prep and service as needed to keep operations running smoothly. Communicate professionally with the house/clients as needed regarding kitchen operations. Requirements Reliable, punctual, and consistent attendance. Strong organization and time management skills; able to prioritize in a busy environment. Comfortable leading and directing others with a calm, professional approach. Able to follow and enforce safety, sanitation, and food handling guidelines. Prior kitchen or food service experience required; leadership/manager experience strongly preferred.
