Job Description

Sun Valley Resort is seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to support the daily operations of our restaurant and ensure a memorable dining experience for every guest. This hands-on leadership role helps oversee service standards, team performance, and overall guest satisfaction.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Support and supervise restaurant staff, ensuring adherence to Sun Valley Resort service standards Create and manage employee schedules based on hotel occupancy and dining reservations Assist in training new and existing team members in hospitality best practices and technical skills Collaborate with kitchen leadership on menu updates, service pacing, and guest feedback Provide outstanding front-of-house service, stepping in as needed to support servers and hosts Maintain working knowledge of wine service and food pairings; assist guests with recommendations Communicate clearly with team members and chefs regarding service timing, special requests, and guest needs Ensure proper ordering and stocking of linens, supplies, and small wares Handle guest concerns with professionalism and resolve any issues to maintain satisfaction and loyalty Support and supervise restaurant staff, ensuring adherence to Sun Valley Resort service standards Create and manage employee schedules based on hotel occupancy and dining reservations Assist in training new and existing team members in hospitality best practices and technical skills Collaborate with kitchen leadership on menu updates, service pacing, and guest feedback Provide outstanding front-of-house service, stepping in as needed to support servers and hosts Maintain working knowledge of wine service and food pairings; assist guests with recommendations Communicate clearly with team members and chefs regarding service timing, special requests, and guest needs Ensure proper ordering and stocking of linens, supplies, and small wares Handle guest concerns with professionalism and resolve any issues to maintain satisfaction and loyalty
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of hands-on restaurant service experience At least 3 years of supervisory or managerial experience in Food & Beverage Strong knowledge of wine service and food pairings Understanding of restaurant financials, including daily sales reporting and labor cost management Excellent communication, customer service, and conflict resolution skills Comfortable working in a high-energy environment with varying noise levels Engage in physical activities like standing for long periods, walking, and utilizing hands for tasks that involve gripping, handling, and reaching Can safely lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds occasionally Minimum 5 years of hands-on restaurant service experience At least 3 years of supervisory or managerial experience in Food & Beverage Strong knowledge of wine service and food pairings Understanding of restaurant financials, including daily sales reporting and labor cost management Excellent communication, customer service, and conflict resolution skills Comfortable working in a high-energy environment with varying noise levels
