Job Overview We are looking for a proactive and energetic Assistant Kitchen Manager to join our vibrant culinary team. In this role, you will support the overall management of kitchen operations, ensuring that food quality, safety standards, and service excellence are consistently met. The ideal candidate is passionate about food, experienced in supervising kitchen staff, and eager to contribute to a dynamic hospitality environment. You will play a key role in maintaining smooth kitchen workflows, managing inventory, and upholding high standards of food safety and sanitation. Responsibilities Assist in overseeing daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistency and quality. Supervise kitchen staff during shifts, providing guidance on food production, safety procedures, and service standards. Support menu planning and ensure all dishes meet the restaurant's quality benchmarks while adhering to dietary restrictions and special requests. Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, conducting regular audits, and coordinating with suppliers for timely replenishments. Enforce food safety sanitizing procedures and cleanliness standards to maintain a safe working environment for all team members. Coordinate catering events and banquet services by ensuring timely setup, food delivery, and presentation. Assist with cost control measures by monitoring food usage, minimizing waste, and optimizing resources across the kitchen. Experience Proven experience in food production within a restaurant or hospitality setting, preferably with fine dining or catering backgrounds. Supervising experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment is essential. Strong background in dietary department practices and food safety regulations. Hands-on experience with inventory management, menu planning, and shift management. Knowledge of culinary techniques including cooking methods, food handling, and sanitation procedures. Experience managing teams as a chef or kitchen supervisor within the food industry is highly desirable. Familiarity with banquet operations, catering services, and restaurant management principles.
