Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Bar/Concessions Manager to lead our beverage and concessions operations with enthusiasm and professionalism. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily service, manage staff, ensure food safety standards, and deliver exceptional customer experiences. Your leadership will drive efficiency, maintain high-quality food and beverage offerings, and foster a welcoming environment for guests. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your management skills within a dynamic hospitality setting. Responsibilities Responsible to recruit, interview, train, and hire staff for the bar and concessions in collaboration with the General Manager. Plans and prepares the basic service needs for the Bar and Concessions areas while adhering to proper health codes and bar regulations. Directs staff in the handling of the cash registers/payments in accordance with established cash handling policies and procedures. Responsible for the Bar and Concession inventory and ordering of products on a regular basis to ensure adequate selection and quantities. Establishes and enforces processes to ensure inventory waste and shrinkage are minimized. Develops new ideas and promotions to increase sales, especially during events. Oversees operation of concessions areas and bar equipment and works with Facilities Manager to fix or resolve issues. Develops beverage programs, which include what type of supplies to order, what brand of liquor to use, pricing, and other aspects. Always maintains a clean and sanitary bar and concession areas and ensures entire areas are cleaned at the end of the events. Develops employee schedules that ensure adequate coverage while adhering to budget standards. Enforces policies and procedures with staff. Collaborates with General Manager to resolve personnel issues and conflict. Attends all meetings and training as requested. Provides exceptional customer service. Ability to accommodate a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Other duties as assigned Education/Experience High School Diploma or GED equivalent Over 21 years of age Associate Degree preferred Minimum of three (3) years' experience directly applicable to the position preferred Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal and organizational skills Ability to accommodate a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Certificates/Licenses/Registrations Illinois Food Manager Certificate Current Basset Card Pay:
$23.00 - $27.70 per hour
