Dental insurance Employee discounts Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Job description: The Hilton Garden Inn Chicago North Shore / Evanston is seeking a motivated and experienced Assistant General Manager (AGM) to support the General Manager in overseeing all aspects of hotel operations. The ideal candidate is a dynamic leader who excels in guest service, team development, and operational efficiency. This is an exceptional opportunity for hospitality professionals looking to grow in a high-performing and guest-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the General Manager in daily hotel operations including Front Desk, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, and Maintenance. Ensure the highest levels of guest satisfaction through hands-on leadership and problem resolution. Assist with hiring, training, and development of team members. Maintain compliance with Hilton brand standards, policies, and procedures. Monitor and manage operational budgets and expenses. Collaborate with department heads to set performance goals and service standards. Oversee quality assurance programs and conduct regular property inspections. Act as Manager on Duty (MOD) in the absence of the General Manager. Ensure adherence to health, safety, and security procedures. Support sales and marketing efforts to increase occupancy and revenue.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2-4 years of hotel management experience, preferably in a Hilton-branded or similar full-service hotel. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to lead and motivate teams. Strong financial and analytical acumen. Knowledge of Hilton systems such as OnQ, PEP, and Hilton Quality Assurance tools is a plus. Availability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred or 5 plus years of hotel Assistant General Manager.
