(www.thebrasserie.com) Located in the space known for nearly a century as The English Room, The Brasserie carries forward the Inn's tradition of gracious dining with a modern British sensibility and renewed energy. Designed around the art of conversation, the experience brings guests together in a setting that is layered, lively, and welcoming. A curated art collection, seasonal cuisine, and subtle signature moments create a dining room that honors its heritage while feeling confidently present. We are seeking a Food And Beverage Manager to join our team! You will be responsible for providing customers with a memorable dining experience. The Food and Beverage Manager will report to the Director of F&B. Successful individuals must be available to work flexible schedules and have proven track records as effective trainers, coaches and motivators.
Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise support personnel; hire, train, develop, assess and empower the kitchen, bar and service staff to achieve the department's goals Fill in where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations Prepare all required paperwork, including forms, reports and schedules in an organized and timely manner. Oversee restaurant operation serving 3 meal periods i.e. breakfast, lunch and dinner Coordinate and monitor inventory and par levels and manage loss prevention. Communicate both verbally and in writing, with employees, guests and management in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner. Adhere to all safety and sanitation regulations
Requirements:
Qualifications:
2-5 years previous restaurant experience in a supervisory role Strong leadership qualities Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment Excellent written and communication skills Strong attention to detail
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in business or a related area Two to five (2-5) years of management experience, or training, or a combination of both in a luxury hotel environment
SPECIAL SKILLS
Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language. Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or government regulations, as well as, Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public. Be able to work in hot, wet, humid and loud environment for long periods of time. Be able to reach, bend, stoop and lift up to 50 lbs. Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
