Days and a few nights. We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Kitchen Manager to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional food service across our restaurant. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary knowledge, and a passion for hospitality management. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee daily kitchen operations, ensure food quality and safety, and foster a positive team environment in a fast-paced setting. Duties Manage all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet quality standards. Supervise and train kitchen staff on food safety, proper handling, and culinary techniques to ensure compliance with health regulations. Oversee inventory control, including ordering supplies, managing stock levels, and minimizing waste. Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales tracking. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area in accordance with safety standards. Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service flow during shifts. Implement staff scheduling, shift management, and performance evaluations to optimize team productivity. Monitor food production processes to uphold consistency and quality across all menu items. Assist in budgeting, cost control, and menu planning to support overall restaurant profitability. Lead staff training initiatives focused on culinary skills, customer service excellence, and food safety protocols. Participate in interviewing and hiring new team members to build a skilled workforce. Requirements Proven experience in restaurant management or kitchen supervision within quick service, fast food, casual dining, or fine dining environments. Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; cash handling experience required. Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in staff training, team management, and shift supervision. Knowledge of inventory control, budgeting, and food cost management. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle guest inquiries professionally. Previous experience working in hospitality management or hotel/banquet settings is preferred. Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Culinary experience complemented by leadership training or assistant manager experience is highly desirable.
