Job Description
Overview The General Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of a Dunkin' restaurant (located inside the TA travel center), including team leadership, operational efficiency, financial performance, and customer satisfaction. This role involves ensuring compliance with company standards, local health regulations, and brand guidelines while fostering a positive work environment and delivering an exceptional guest experience. The General Manager will be required to work with the GM of the TA travel center to deliver a great customer service experience for our guests. Responsibilities Oversee daily restaurant operations, including food preparation, service, and cleanliness, to meet Dunkin's brand standards. Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations, maintaining a clean and safe environment. Monitor inventory levels, place orders, and manage stock to minimize waste and ensure product availability. Implement and enforce company policies, procedures, and operational systems. Recruit, hire, train, and supervise restaurant staff, including shift leaders, team members, and support staff. Schedule shifts to ensure adequate staffing levels while controlling labor costs. Motivate and coach employees to deliver excellent customer service and achieve performance goals. Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and address disciplinary issues as needed. Manage restaurant budgets, including labor, food costs, and operational expenses. Monitor financial performance, analyze sales reports, and implement strategies to maximize profitability. Control costs by optimizing inventory, reducing waste, and managing labor efficiently. Prepare and submit financial reports to upper management as required. Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by delivering fast, friendly, and accurate service. Address customer complaints and resolve issues promptly to maintain a positive reputation. Promote a welcoming and inclusive environment for guests and staff. Execute local marketing initiatives and promotional campaigns to drive sales and customer traffic. Build relationships with the local community to enhance brand visibility. Monitor sales trends and implement strategies to meet or exceed sales targets. Ensure adherence to all local, state, and federal regulations, including health, safety, and labor laws. Maintain a safe work environment by enforcing safety protocols and training staff on proper procedures. Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with Dunkin' operational standards. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in business, hospitality, or a related field is preferred. Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform tasks requiring physical dexterity. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with frequent interaction with staff and customers. Fast-paced restaurant setting with exposure to heat, noise, and food preparation equipment. Requires multitasking and adaptability to changing operational needs. 2+ years of experience in restaurant management, preferably @ Dunkin' Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team. Strong understanding of financial management, including budgeting and cost control. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and inventory management software.
