This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen and delivering high-quality meals to our guests. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of food safety practices. Assist in menu planning, ensuring a variety of options that meet dietary needs. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations. Handle food products safely, including proper storage and labeling. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service. Utilize knife skills for meal preparation, ensuring precision and efficiency. Participate in catering events as needed, assisting with food setup and service. Support the dietary department by providing assistance to dietary aides when necessary. Requirements Previous experience in the food industry, particularly in a back-of-house role is preferred. Strong culinary experience with knowledge of cooking techniques and food handling practices. Familiarity with dietary aide responsibilities and menu planning is a plus. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining individual accountability. Excellent knife skills and experience with meal preparation are essential. Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations is required. Experience in catering or restaurant settings will be beneficial.
