Overview Join our dynamic team as an Assistant General Manager and become a vital leader in delivering exceptional food and service experiences. Duties Assist the General Manager in overseeing all restaurant operations, including food preparation, service delivery, and staff management Supervise daily shift activities, ensuring smooth kitchen and front-of-house operations in a quick service or casual dining environment Lead staff training and development initiatives to enhance skills in food handling, customer service, and food safety compliance Manage inventory control processes, including ordering, stock rotation, and waste reduction to optimize food costs Oversee POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for accurate cash handling and transaction processing Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation procedures Support budgeting efforts by monitoring labor costs, sales targets, and operational expenses to maximize profitability Skills Extensive experience in food service management within quick service, fast food, casual dining, or fine dining establishments Proven supervisory experience with strong leadership skills in team management and staff training Proficiency with POS systems like Aloha POS and Micros POS for efficient transaction processing Solid understanding of inventory control, food safety standards, and kitchen management practices Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle challenging situations professionally Ability to manage shift schedules effectively while maintaining high-quality service standards Strong communication skills for interviewing candidates, training staff, and collaborating with team members
Compensation & Growth Path:
This position begins as an hourly role ($18-22/hr) during the store opening and training phase, where additional hours and overtime are expected as we build the team and operations. Once the store stabilizes and operations are running consistently, the role transitions into a salaried position with a performance-based bonus structure tied to key metrics such as labor, food cost, and overall store performance. This approach ensures you are compensated for the higher workload during the opening phase and provides a clear path to a stable leadership role with growth opportunity. This role is perfect for candidates with a background in restaurant management who are eager to lead a vibrant team while delivering memorable dining experiences.
