ASSISTANT MANAGER
Pete s of Erie Inc 5005 Parkview Drive, Frontenac, KS 66763 $13 an hour - Full-time $13 an hour - Full-time The Assistant Kitchen Manager supports the Kitchen Manager in overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring food quality, food safety compliance, and efficient team performance. This position helps lead kitchen staff, maintains inventory levels, enforces company standards, and works to deliver a positive guest experience through consistent food preparation and execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in managing daily kitchen operations and staff performance. Ensure all food is prepared according to company recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines. Monitor food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards in compliance with health department regulations. Support hiring, training, coaching, and development of kitchen team members. Help create and manage employee schedules to ensure proper staffing levels. Monitor inventory, place orders, and control food costs and waste. Address operational issues and assist in resolving team member concerns. Maintain equipment and report maintenance needs as necessary. Support the achievement of sales, labor, and profitability goals. Lead by example and foster a positive, productive work environment.
Qualifications:
Previous restaurant or kitchen leadership experience preferred. Strong communication and team leadership skills. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
