Job Description

Overview We are seeking an energetic and dynamic General Manager - Restaurant to lead our vibrant dining establishment. This pivotal role involves overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, managing staff, and maintaining high standards of food quality and safety. As the driving force behind the restaurant's success, you will foster a positive team environment, optimize operational efficiency, and uphold our commitment to delivering memorable dining experiences. Duties Lead and supervise all restaurant operations, including food preparation, service delivery, and kitchen management to ensure smooth daily functioning. Oversee staff training and development, including interviewing, onboarding, and ongoing coaching to build a motivated and skilled team. Manage inventory control and food handling procedures to minimize waste and ensure compliance with food safety standards. Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation. Monitor shift management to ensure adequate staffing levels during peak hours while controlling labor costs. Maintain high standards of customer service by addressing guest concerns promptly and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. Implement budgeting strategies, monitor financial performance, and optimize operational costs for profitability. Enforce health and safety regulations related to food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety protocols. Coordinate catering, banquet events, bar services, or coffee shop operations if applicable. Lead staff training initiatives focused on food production, culinary techniques, hospitality excellence, and team management. Skills Proven management experience within quick service & fast food restaurants or casual dining environments. Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management with culinary experience preferred. Expertise in POS systems such as Aloha POS and BOH systems such as DataCentral for sales transactions and reporting. Excellent leadership skills with experience in supervising teams, conducting interviews, training & development programs. Deep understanding of food safety standards, inventory control practices, and food handling procedures. Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to resolve issues efficiently while maintaining positive guest relations. Ability to manage shift schedules effectively while controlling costs through budgeting and resource allocation. Familiarity with hotel or hospitality industry standards is advantageous; barista or coffee experience is a plus. Strong organizational skills with the capacity to oversee multiple operational areas including kitchen management and catering services. Effective communication skills for team leadership, staff training sessions, and customer interactions.
