  • K-Pot Korean BBQ & Hot PotPosition Summary The Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting the General Manager in the daily operations of the restaurant while ensuring an exceptional guest experience, strong team performance, and adherence to K-Pot's service and operational standards.
This position requires a hands-on leader who can effectively manage employees, maintain a high level of service, and keep restaurant operations running smoothly during both busy and slower periods. Key Responsibilities Assist the General Manager with the overall daily operation of the restaurant. Lead, coach, and motivate front-of-house and back-of-house team members. Ensure guests receive friendly, efficient, and professional service. Monitor restaurant cleanliness, organization, and food-safety standards. Help manage staff scheduling, attendance, breaks, and daily assignments. Train new employees on company policies, service standards, menu knowledge, and restaurant procedures. Monitor food quality, presentation, portion control, and proper handling procedures. Assist with inventory management, ordering, receiving, and minimizing food waste. Handle guest questions, concerns, and complaints professionally and resolve issues in a timely manner. Assist with opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and securing the restaurant. Monitor sales, labor costs, and operational performance and communicate concerns to management. Ensure compliance with health department regulations, workplace safety requirements, and company policies. Maintain a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment. Support special events, promotions, and other restaurant initiatives. Step in wherever needed to maintain efficient restaurant operations. Serve as the manager on duty when the General Manager is unavailable. Qualifications Previous restaurant supervisory or management experience preferred. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant environment. Excellent customer-service skills and a positive attitude. Ability to train, motivate, and hold team members accountable. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Comfortable working flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Food-safety certification is preferred or required according to local regulations. Korean BBQ, hot pot, Asian restaurant, or full-service restaurant experience is a plus. Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and perform physical tasks associated with restaurant operations. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a dependable and energetic leader who enjoys working with people and takes pride in creating an excellent dining experience. They should be comfortable taking initiative, leading by example, and making decisions in a fast-paced environment. A successful Assistant Manager should be able to balance customer service, employee leadership, and operational responsibilities while maintaining K-Pot's standards for quality and hospitality.
