Swing Managers provide leadership and direction to crew members and fellow managers during their assigned shifts. They are responsible for ensuring operational excellence, achieving performance targets, maintaining safety and security, and leading their teams to meet McDonald's high standards. Swing Managers actively plan each shift, monitor operations and team performance, address any issues as they arise, and ensure a smooth hand-off to the next manager. They also help crew members grow by providing coaching and development, fostering a supportive and productive work environment. Responsibilities Food Safety Complete and verify the daily food safety checklist. Monitor food safety procedures throughout the shift. Internal Communication Read updates from the ISP and Manager Communication Log. Communicate shift goals, sales trends, and performance metrics to the team. Report results, opportunities, and concerns to the next shift manager. Inventory Management Maintain stock levels for 24/7 readiness. Verify product deliveries for order accuracy, quality, and condition. Track raw and completed waste each shift. Planned and Daily Maintenance / Cleanliness Monitor and verify completion of cleaning and maintenance tasks. Identify and respond to equipment and facility issues. People Practices Enforce McDonald's policies and labor laws. Check crew appearance and ensure professionalism. Coordinate crew breaks. Production Oversee and correct production procedures. Monitor product holding times and finished food quality. Service Enforce service procedures and standards. Manage customer complaints and document actions taken. Lead the customer recovery process when necessary. Safety and Security Ensure proper cash handling and security during the shift. Inspect equipment for safe operation. Maintain a safe and secure environment for employees and customers. Shift Management Manage shifts using the positioning plan and pre-shift checklist. Monitor sales projections and labor control. Conduct travel path observations to uphold QSC standards. Maintain effective shift positioning and flow. Crew Scheduling and Training Review shift staffing and labor controls. Execute crew training follow-ups and monitor skill development.
