Position Summary The Store Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, operational excellence, and financial performance of the restaurant. This position oversees all daily operations while fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and exceptional guest service. The Store Manager serves as the leader of the restaurant and is responsible for developing leaders, driving sales and profitability, maintaining brand standards, and ensuring compliance with all company, Chick-fil-A, airport, and regulatory requirements. This role partners closely with the Director of Operations and Regional Leadership to achieve business objectives while creating an engaging work environment for all team members. The ideal candidate is an experienced restaurant leader who is passionate about developing people, driving results, and delivering extraordinary hospitality. Essential Responsibilities Leadership & Team Development Lead, coach, mentor, and develop Assistant General Managers, Shift Leaders, and Team Members. Build a culture centered around accountability, teamwork, recognition, and continuous improvement. Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, and retain high-performing team members. Conduct performance evaluations and provide regular coaching, development, and corrective action when necessary. Develop succession plans and prepare future leaders for advancement. Promote employee engagement while maintaining positive employee relations. Operations Management Oversee all daily restaurant operations to ensure exceptional guest experiences. Ensure compliance with all Chick-fil-A brand standards and company operating procedures. Monitor food quality, food safety, cleanliness, sanitation, and overall restaurant appearance. Ensure proper opening, shift transition, and closing procedures are consistently executed. Maintain operational readiness for airport inspections, health inspections, and internal audits. Resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally. Ensure compliance with all Chick-fil-A brand standards and company operating procedures "as Certified Chick-fil-A Licensee Leader document". Ensure compliance with all airport standards and procedures such as Badge IDs, Prohibited Items Log, etc. Champion the brand by successfully completing all required brand training. Foster the brand culture by ensuring the timely completion of all required brand training for every associate. Financial Management Understands the restaurant's profit and loss performance. Analyze sales trends, labor costs, food costs, and controllable expenses. Develop action plans to improve profitability and operational efficiency. Monitor inventory levels and ordering to minimize waste while maintaining product availability. Ensure accurate cash handling, deposits, safe counts, and loss prevention practices. Review financial reports and implement strategies to achieve sales and profitability goals. Review and reconcile invoices to maintain accurate financial records and support timely vendor payments. Manage the weekly invoice submission process, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and adherence to established deadlines. Scheduling & Labor Management Develop weekly labor schedules based on business demands and labor targets. Monitor staffing levels and adjust schedules to maximize productivity. Manage overtime and labor costs while maintaining service standards. Compliance & Safety Ensure compliance with all federal, state, airport, OSHA, health department, and company regulations. Maintain ServSafe food safety standards. Oversee workplace safety initiatives and accident prevention. Serve as the primary liaison for airport badging, security clearance, and compliance requirements. Ensure all required certifications and training remain current. Administrative Responsibilities Complete required operational reports, audits, and documentation. Review and approve payroll, timekeeping, and attendance records. Monitor training completion and ensure all required certifications are maintained. Communicate restaurant performance, staffing updates, and operational needs with senior leadership. On-Site Leadership Expectations This is a hands-on, on-site leadership position. Managers are expected to be physically present in the restaurant during scheduled shifts and actively engaged in the day-to-day operation. This includes supporting front-of-house or back-of-house operations, assisting during peak business periods, covering staffing shortages, and ensuring exceptional guest service and operational excellence. This role is not intended to be primarily administrative or office-based. Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of progressive restaurant management experience, including multi-level leadership responsibilities. Previous General Manager, Store Manager, or Assistant General Manager experience preferred. Previous Chick-fil-A experience preferred but not required Current ServSafe Food Manager Certification or ability to obtain certification. Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business Administration, Restaurant Management, or related field preferred. Equivalent management experience will be considered. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong leadership and team-building skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proven ability to lead high-performing teams in a fast-paced environment. Strong financial acumen with experience managing P&L statements, labor, food cost, and inventory. Experience with scheduling, payroll, and workforce management. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and restaurant management systems. Ability to analyze operational data and implement improvement strategies. Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving skills. Exceptional organizational and time management skills. Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds. Ability to bend, reach, climb ladders, and walk throughout the restaurant. Ability to work in varying temperature environments. Additional Requirements This role is 90% operational and 10% administrative Airport operations are open 7 days per week, 365 days per year. Schedule flexibility is required, including mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and emergency coverage. Must successfully complete an FBI Criminal Background Check and meet all airport badging requirements. Reliable transportation is required. Must be available to respond to operational issues outside of scheduled shifts when necessary.
