At Youville Place, an assisted living community in beautiful Lexington, Massachusetts, we're looking for a Dining Room Manager who is passionate about customer service, team leadership, and enriching the lives of older adults. This hands-on leadership role offers the opportunity to oversee daily dining operations, mentor staff, and help create a warm, welcoming environment where residents and guests feel valued every day. Mission-driven organization focused on serving older adults Supportive leadership team and collaborative culture Opportunity to lead and develop dining staff Meaningful work that directly impacts residents' quality of life Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits What You'll Do Lead and supervise front-of-house dining operations Recruit, train, coach, schedule, and develop dining team members Ensure exceptional resident and guest dining experiences Assist with menu planning, special events, and community functions Partner with the Chef Manager to maintain quality, service, and operational excellence Manage staffing levels and daily workflow for both front and back of house Address resident concerns professionally and promptly Monitor dining room standards, food safety, sanitation, and hospitality practices Assist with payroll documentation, ordering supplies, and maintaining operational records Foster a positive team culture focused on service, professionalism, and teamwork What We're Looking For Minimum 1 year of dining room management experience in a restaurant, hospitality, senior living, or healthcare setting Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills Excellent customer service and communication abilities Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Understanding and appreciation of the needs of older adults Basic computer skills, including email and internet applications Ability to work flexible schedules, including some weekends and holidays Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds Active, hands-on leadership presence in the dining room About Youville Place At Youville Place, hospitality is more than serving meals—it's creating meaningful connections and enhancing the daily lives of our residents.
