Job Description

Part-Time Bar Manager Location:
The Dark Horse Tavern Schedule:
Wednesday-Friday, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM | Saturday hours vary (approximately 12:00 PM - 10:00 PM) The Dark Horse Tavern is seeking a motivated, dependable, and hands-on Part-Time Bar Manager to join our leadership team. This position works closely with our Operations Manager and Kitchen Manager to ensure exceptional guest experiences, efficient daily operations, and a positive team environment. This is an active management role where you'll be leading by example, supporting staff, and helping oversee the day-to-day functions of the bar and front-of-house operations.
Responsibilities Include:
Managing and maintaining employee schedules Assisting with staffing coverage and coordinating shift replacements when needed Supporting daily bar and restaurant operations Supervising front-of-house staff and ensuring excellent customer service Assisting with inventory management and ordering as directed Maintaining compliance with all local and state liquor laws and regulations Working collaboratively with ownership, the Operations Manager, and Kitchen Manager Handling customer concerns professionally and effectively Ensuring cleanliness, organization, and operational standards are maintained Opening and closing responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications:
Previous bar management, restaurant management, or hospitality leadership experience preferred Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment Dependable, professional, and team-oriented Knowledge of responsible alcohol service practices Must meet all qualifications required by state and local authorities for individuals serving in a managerial capacity at a licensed establishment
