Role:

Another Broken Egg Cafe in Brandywine, MD is looking for a passionate and driven Kitchen Manager to lead our back-of-house operations. Responsibilities:

Oversee all kitchen operations including food prep, line cooking, and plating to ensure quality and consistency Hire, train, schedule, and manage kitchen staff to maintain a high-performing BOH team Monitor food costs, control waste, and manage inventory ordering and receiving Ensure strict compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health code standards Collaborate with management to develop and execute seasonal menu items and specials Maintain kitchen equipment and coordinate repairs and preventative maintenance Drive ticket times and kitchen efficiency during high-volume breakfast and brunch service

Requirements:

2+ years of kitchen management or sous chef experience, preferably in a high-volume restaurant Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and ServSafe certification (or ability to obtain) Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a diverse kitchen team Experience with food cost management, inventory control, and ordering Ability to work early morning shifts, weekends, and holidays as required Excellent communication and organizational skills with a hands-on leadership style Passion for breakfast/brunch cuisine and delivering a consistent, high-quality guest experience
