Kitchen Manager - Old Mill Cafe Old Mill Cafe is looking for an experienced Kitchen Manager to lead our fast-paced back-of-house team. You'll be responsible for keeping the kitchen running smoothly while ensuring every guest receives fresh, high-quality food in a timely manner. Responsibilities Lead and motivate the back-of-house team during high-volume service Expedite orders and ensure food quality and accuracy Prepare sandwiches, crepes, and other menu items in a fast-paced environment Create and manage back-of-house staff schedules Oversee inventory, ordering, and food cost management Maintain cleanliness, food safety, and health department standards Train, coach, and develop kitchen staff Identify opportunities to improve kitchen efficiency and workflow Bring creative ideas for new menu items, seasonal specials, and operational improvements Qualifications Previous kitchen management or lead kitchen experience required Ability to stay calm, organized, and lead under pressure in a high-volume kitchen Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills Experience with scheduling, inventory management, food ordering, and cost control Passion for delivering quality food and an exceptional guest experience Self-motivated with a positive, problem-solving attitude Reliable, punctual, and committed to leading by example Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Comfortable working in a hot kitchen environment Available to work mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed Who We're Looking For We're looking for someone who doesn't just keep the kitchen running—they elevate it.
