The Restaurant Manager plays a critical role in the success of Alexandra's Restaurant and the overall guest experience at the resort. Turf Valley Resort is seeking a highly motivated and guest-focused Restaurant Manager to oversee the daily operations of Alexandra's Restaurant. This position is responsible for ensuring exceptional guest experiences through effective leadership, operational excellence, employee development, and strong communication with both front-of-house and back-of-house teams. The Restaurant Manager will support all aspects of restaurant operations, including staffing, scheduling, service execution, labor management, guest satisfaction, and team performance Essential Duties and Responsibilities Operations Management
- Ensure the smooth daily operation of Alexandra's Restaurant and that the outlet is prepared for breakfast, lunch, dinner, special events, and other scheduled functions.
- Maintain an active presence on the restaurant floor to oversee service quality, staffing levels, cleanliness, and overall guest satisfaction.
- Monitor business volumes throughout service periods and make real-time operational adjustments as needed.
- Coordinate and oversee opening and closing procedures, ensuring all side work and shift responsibilities are completed accurately.
- Ensure restaurant dining areas, bar areas, service stations, and guest spaces are clean, organized, fully stocked, and service-ready.
- Complete daily reports, shift communications, logs, and other administrative requirements. Guest Experience
- Deliver exceptional hospitality while promoting a positive and welcoming dining experience.
- Interact regularly with guests to gather feedback, address concerns, and resolve service issues promptly and professionally.
- Support the execution of VIP services, special requests, and guest recovery efforts when necessary.
- Maintain service standards that align with Turf Valley Resort's commitment to excellence. Team Leadership & Development
- Supervise and support servers, bartenders, hosts/hostesses, bussers, and other front-of-house team members.
- Assist with recruitment, onboarding, training, coaching, and performance development of restaurant employees.
- Lead or support daily pre-shift meetings to review menu features, promotions, service expectations, special events, and operational updates.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, professionalism, and guest-focused service.
- Provide ongoing feedback and coaching to improve employee performance and engagement. Financial & Administrative Responsibility
- Assist with employee scheduling and labor management to maximize operational efficiency.
- Monitor labor costs and staffing levels while maintaining excellent service standards.
- Maintain awareness of food, beverage, and labor costs and their impact on overall restaurant profitability.
- Assist with inventory monitoring and ensure adequate operating supplies are maintained.
- Communicate purchasing or inventory needs to restaurant and Food & Beverage leadership as necessary. Interdepartmental Collaboration
- Work closely with culinary leadership to ensure efficient communication, food quality, service timing, and guest satisfaction.
- Coordinate with Accounting, Sales, Banquets, Front Desk, Spa, Receiving, and other resort departments to support guest needs and operational requirements.
- Assist in the execution of resort events and functions that impact restaurant operations. Compliance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, health, and workplace safety standards.
- Promote and enforce responsible alcohol service practices.

- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management, Restaurant Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of restaurant management, hospitality leadership, or comparable supervisory experience preferred.
- Full-service restaurant experience strongly preferred.
- Previous experience managing employee schedules, labor costs, and daily restaurant operations.
- ServSafe Certification or ability to obtain certification preferred.
- Alcohol service certification or ability to obtain certification as required.
