Job Description

As Catering Manager for ARAMARK at Jacksonville University, you will lead daily catering operations for campus events, meetings, and special functions. You will manage a team of foodservice staff, coordinate event logistics, and ensure high-quality food presentation and service. Responsibilities include menu planning with culinary teams, forecasting and ordering supplies, scheduling and training staff, controlling costs, and upholding safety and sanitation standards. You will collaborate with university partners, respond to client needs, resolve issues quickly, and support Aramark's culture of service, teamwork, and inclusion while meeting financial and customer satisfaction goals. Responsibilities Lead and oversee daily campus catering operations for events and functions Plan menus in partnership with culinary teams to meet client needs and budgets Schedule, train, and supervise catering and service staff Coordinate event logistics including setup, service, and breakdown Monitor food quality, presentation, and guest service standards Forecast demand, order food and supplies, and manage inventory Control labor and food costs to meet financial targets Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards Build and maintain strong relationships with university clients and vendors Handle customer feedback and resolve service issues promptly Required Skills Catering operations management Menu planning and costing Food safety and sanitation (Serv Safe) Event logistics and coordination Staff scheduling and supervision Inventory and cost control Customer service and client relations Microsoft Office and POS systems Budgeting and financial reporting Health and safety compliance
