Job Summary To Apply for this Job Click Here A growing, privately owned restaurant group is seeking an Assistant General Manager to join its leadership team in Gaithersburg, Maryland. This upscale casual concept combines a strong commitment to hospitality with well-defined systems and operational standards. We are open to an experienced Assistant General Manager or a high-performing Restaurant Manager who is ready for the next step. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on restaurant leader who wants to develop their career with a company entering an exciting phase of growth and expansion. This position requires 6-8 weeks of paid, out-of-market training, likely in Columbus, Ohio. Candidates must be able to commit to the full training period. Housing and travel support will be provided. What We Offer Attainable bonus program Paid 6-8 week out-of-market training with housing and travel support Health, dental, vision, and life insurance Paid time off Career advancement opportunities with a growing restaurant group What You'll Do Lead day-to-day restaurant operations and help drive consistent execution Build, train, coach, and develop a strong restaurant team Create a culture of accountability, hospitality, and teamwork Ensure seamless communication and coordination between front- and back-of-house teams Deliver an exceptional guest experience in a high-volume environment Review P&L performance, labor, food costs, and other key operating metrics Identify opportunities to improve results and execute effective action plans Maintain company systems, standards, and operating procedures Support a culture of continuous improvement while developing future leaders What We're Looking For 3+ years of restaurant management experience Assistant General Manager experience preferred, although strong Restaurant Managers ready to advance will be considered Recent upscale casual, polished casual, or comparable full-service restaurant experience Experience in a high-volume restaurant environment; $7M+ Scratch-kitchen experience Strong understanding of P&L management, labor, food cost, and operational controls Demonstrated ability to coach, develop, and hold teams accountable Comfortable working within a highly structured, systems-oriented operation Hands-on leadership style with a strong commitment to hospitality and the guest experience Ability to complete 6-8 weeks of out-of-market training If you are a restaurant leader who is ready for greater responsibility and wants the opportunity to grow with an expanding organization, we would like to hear from you.
