  • Job Summary:
  • The Kitchen Manager will be responsible for overseeing all culinary operations in our restaurant.
This role requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of kitchen management, and the ability to maintain a high standard of food quality and safety. The Kitchen Manager will lead a team of chefs and kitchen staff, manage inventory and supplies, and ensure that our kitchen runs efficiently to deliver an exceptional dining experience.
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership Team Management:
  • Lead and motivate the kitchen team, fostering a positive working environment. Train and mentor kitchen staff, providing guidance on food preparation techniques and presentation. Schedule and manage kitchen staff shifts to ensure proper coverage and efficiency.
  • Food Quality Safety:
  • Ensure all food is prepared to the highest quality standards and presentation. Maintain strict adherence to health and safety regulations, including food safety and sanitation practices. Conduct regular inspections of kitchen facilities, equipment, and food storage to ensure compliance.
  • Inventory Cost Control:
  • Manage inventory levels of food and kitchen supplies, placing orders as necessary to prevent shortages. Monitor food costs and implement strategies to control expenses while maintaining quality. Assist in menu planning and development, considering cost and seasonal ingredients.
  • Operational Efficiency:
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring timely and efficient meal preparation and service. Address any issues that arise in the kitchen, including service delays or staff conflicts. Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure smooth communication and service flow.
  • Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager, Head Chef, or similar role in a high-volume restaurant environment.
Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety, and sanitation practices. Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively. Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred. Familiarity with inventory management software and point-of-sale systems. Passion for food and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences.
