Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant General Manager to join our team in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in restaurant management, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service and maintaining high operational standards. This role requires effective leadership skills, the ability to manage staff, and a passion for the food industry. Responsibilities Oversee daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring efficient service and adherence to quality standards. Manage inventory control and assist with ordering supplies as needed. Train, develop, and supervise staff to ensure high performance and adherence to company policies. Handle cash management and POS transactions accurately. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in all areas of the restaurant. Assist in budgeting and financial planning to optimize profitability. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving complaints promptly. Support the General Manager in implementing marketing strategies to increase restaurant visibility and sales. Participate in hiring processes, including interviewing potential candidates for various positions within the restaurant. Collaborate with kitchen management to ensure efficient food production and quality control. Experience Proven experience in restaurant management or as an Assistant Manager in a quick service or fast food setting is preferred. Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and culinary experience is essential. Experience with inventory control, cash handling, and budget management is required. Familiarity with hospitality management practices and fine dining experience is a plus. Excellent leadership skills with a focus on team management and staff training & development. Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude towards customers and staff alike. Previous experience in casual dining or banquet settings is advantageous.
