About the Role The General Manager is the leader of the campground and is responsible for the overall success of the property. This person builds and develops a high-performing team, delivers exceptional guest experiences, drives financial performance, and ensures the campground operates safely and efficiently. This role is best suited for an experienced campground or outdoor hospitality leader who has successfully managed campground operations, developed on-site teams, and owned business results. Mission of the Role The mission of the General Manager is to own the overall success of the Detroit / Ann Arbor KOA by building a high-performing team, delivering exceptional guest experiences, and driving strong financial results. As the on-site leader, you will bring the campground's vision to life through disciplined execution, hospitality-focused leadership, and engaging guest programming, ensuring the property runs smoothly while creating memorable experiences for guests. Outcomes of the Role Property Performance Achieve strong results in guest satisfaction, team engagement, and profitability. Effectively manage the campground's operating budget and financial performance. Execute the property's strategic priorities in partnership with company leadership. Guest Experience Deliver a guest experience that consistently generates positive reviews and repeat visits. Create and execute an engaging activities program that guests look forward to throughout the camping season. Build a culture where hospitality drives every guest interaction. Team Leadership Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing team. Create a culture of accountability, growth, and recognition. Develop future leaders within the campground team.
