We are looking for a Food Service Manager who enjoys working independently, takes pride in their work, and wants to play an important role in caring for the children in our program. Our Food Service Manager helps ensure that our children receive nutritious, well-prepared meals and snacks each day while keeping our kitchen clean, organized, and welcoming. What You'll Do As our Food Service Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day kitchen and meal service at Wee Pals Preschool.

Your responsibilities will include:

Prepare and serve daily breakfast and lunch. Prepare morning and afternoon snacks. Clean and sanitize the kitchen and food service areas. Maintain an organized and well-stocked kitchen. Monitor inventory and order or purchase groceries and kitchen supplies. Prepare special diet meals and menus when needed. Prepare sack lunches for field trips and special activities. Maintain accurate meal records and required documentation. Complete CACFP reports and meal-related paperwork. Follow all food service and safety guidelines established by the State of Minnesota Department of Education. Attend required state food service training and classes. Communicate with the Executive and Assistant Director regarding kitchen needs, concerns, ideas, or suggestions. Notify the Director of any equipment or non-food supply needs before making purchases. Work cooperatively and respectfully with Wee Pals staff and children. We're Looking for Someone Who… Has a positive, professional, and caring attitude. Takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized kitchen. Communicates well and works positively with a team. Treats children and coworkers with kindness and respect. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous food service experience preferred (2+ years is a plus). Ability to manage all daily food service responsibilities independently. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to accurately see and feel food temperatures. Willingness to complete required Minnesota food service training.
