Join Our Team Central Market is looking for a motivated, hands-on Deli Manager to lead our deli department. Schedule Full-time, 40-50 hours per week Every other weekend off Responsibilities Lead, coach, and develop deli employees. Oversee daily department operations, production, and food preparation. Manage inventory, place orders, and maintain appropriate product levels. Create employee schedules and manage labor efficiently. Fry foods and assist with hands-on food preparation as needed. Stock shelves and maintain attractive, well-organized displays. Receive deliveries, verify invoices, and ensure order accuracy. Take customer orders and ensure they are completed accurately and on time. Maintain food safety, sanitation, product quality, and FIFO inventory practices. Monitor department performance and identify opportunities to improve sales, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Lead by example and create a positive, productive work environment. What We're Looking For Previous leadership or supervisory experience, preferably in a deli, grocery, food service, or retail environment. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience with inventory management, ordering, and employee scheduling. Understanding of labor management and food cost control. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices. A hands-on leadership style and willingness to assist with daily department tasks. Commitment to excellent customer service and team development. ServSafe Certification or willingness to obtain it.
