Full-Time Position Summary The General Manager (GM) provides overall leadership and strategic direction for Princeton Golf Course and the Fore Seasons Clubhouse, including the restaurant and bar. The GM oversees department managers responsible for the Pro Shop, kitchen, bar, and grounds, ensuring all areas operate cohesively to deliver an outstanding experience for guests. This role requires a collaborative leader with strong business acumen, sound judgment, and a commitment to the community. Key Responsibilities Overall Operations Provide strategic oversight of all facility operations, including Princeton Golf Course, Pro Shop, Fore Seasons Clubhouse restaurant and bar, and grounds. Support and guide department managers — Pro Shop, kitchen, bar, and Grounds Superintendent — ensuring alignment with facility goals and service standards. Maintain a visible, engaged presence across all areas of the facility. Ensure a consistently high-quality guest experience throughout all departments. Plan and execute special events such as tournaments, banquets, or corporate outings to enhance guest engagement and revenue opportunities Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations while promoting a clean, safe environment for staff and guests Financial Management Develop and manage annual operating budgets across all departments. Monitor overall financial performance and report regularly to ownership. Identify opportunities to grow revenue and control costs facility-wide. Oversee payroll, purchasing, and financial operations in coordination with bookkeeping staff. Handle cash management duties including cash handling, POS transactions, and financial reporting with accuracy and integrity Staff Leadership & Human Resources Hire, develop, and retain department managers; support their hiring and team-building efforts. Foster a positive, team-oriented workplace culture across all departments. Conduct performance reviews for direct reports and ensure consistent standards facility-wide. Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws, safety regulations, and workplace policies. Marketing & Community Engagement Lead marketing and promotional efforts for the Princeton Golf Course and Fore Seasons Clubhouse. Build and maintain relationships with local businesses, organizations, and the broader community. Serve as the primary ambassador for Princeton Golf Course and Fore Seasons Clubhouse. Solicit and respond to guest feedback to drive continuous improvement. Qualifications Required 3-5+ years of management experience in golf operations, hospitality, or a related field. Proven ability to lead and develop managers across multiple departments. Strong financial literacy and experience with budgeting and P&L management. Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency with point-of-sale systems, scheduling software, and Microsoft Office. Preferred Experience in golf course management or a
PGA/LPGA
membership or certification. Familiarity with golf tee sheet management software (e.g., ForeUp, EZLinks, Jonas). Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or related field. Work Environment & Schedule This position requires a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and early mornings, particularly during peak golf season (spring through fall). The GM will work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Some evening availability is required for events and private functions.
