Overview We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Assistant General Manager to lead our bustling restaurant team. Responsibilities Assist in managing daily restaurant operations, including overseeing food preparation, cooking, and food handling to ensure quality standards are met. Support staff training and development initiatives to enhance team skills in food service management, POS systems (such as Aloha POS and Micros POS), and customer service excellence. Supervise shift management activities, including supervising staff, managing schedules, and ensuring smooth workflow during busy hours. Oversee inventory control and food production processes to minimize waste and optimize food costs while maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation. Handle cash management duties such as cash handling, balancing registers, and preparing financial reports related to profit and loss analysis. Ensure compliance with health regulations, food safety protocols, and proper food handling procedures across all restaurant areas. Lead by example in delivering exceptional customer service, resolving guest concerns promptly, and fostering a welcoming atmosphere. Participate in interviewing potential team members to build a strong hospitality team aligned with company values. Collaborate with management on budgeting, cost control strategies, and enhancing overall restaurant profitability. Experience Proven experience in quick service or fast food restaurant environments with a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management. Demonstrated supervisory or assistant manager experience within the hospitality or restaurant industry. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing and sales tracking. Extensive knowledge of food safety management practices and health regulations applicable to casual dining or fine dining settings. Experience managing inventory control, budgeting, and profit & loss analysis to maximize operational efficiency. Strong leadership skills with the ability to train staff effectively, manage teams confidently, and communicate managerial expectations clearly. Background in catering or banquet operations is a plus; experience in managing hospitality teams across various service formats is highly valued. Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service excellence and team development.
